o6 m7 belt question

im kinda new to sleds and i changed my belt today and have some questions. wat is the best way to change your belt. i dont think that i have the bolt on the rear clutch to take out and flip the washer type thing over. also once i got my belt on it was to tight and im wondering how i can loosen that up. any help would be great, thanks.

Very easy to do. Lock the break, one hand on the movable sheave and the other on helix rotate it to clockwise. the belt will fall down and hold the sheaves open and you can work the belt off.

remove a shim.

Reversing the clutch bolt retainer is the easyest and least frustrating proceedure & very easy proceedure , just dont expect 2 belts to fit the same ! normal to have to adjust or remove shims under the o-ring on the clutch bolt retainer ... remove shims to loosen and add shim to tighten , you want 1 1/4 belt move ment when done... shims come on your oem tool kit. youll get it after a couple of tries!
