nytro turbo vs m8 turbo

will it depends on the set up on each sled, but if you are wanting to know if both are set up for max boost, there is no contest the nytro will win. and run all year.

Yup I would say the nytro takes the cake on this one. Obviously there are a lot of factors to take into consideration (boost levels, clutching, track, skid). With having said that not all boosted nytros will beat all boosted M8's. The M8 is probably the best running turboed 2 stroke, and if the boost levels are pushed up to the 16 -18psi level they can really rip, but when you turn the boost up on the M8 your engine life drops off.
I only know of one race between an TM8 and Tnytro, and both turbo systems were set up for there upper boost levels. The Nytro took the race by 4 -5 lengths. Not sure if this helps answer the question.

I have never run against a tuboed M8 but rode all last year with a turboed 700 dragon. with similar boost there was no comparison. The Nytro was better all the time. IMO its not just the horsepower issue it seems that the torque of a four stroke turbo is so much stronger. If your in an area where your on and off the throttle the Nytro was like a tractor pulling hard from bottom to top where the two stroke Turbo Dragon needed to spool to make power. Sometimes this would get the dragon in trouble. But even on long pulls the Nytro would pull away from the Dragon and never look back. Oh yeah the Nytro ran strong all year where the Dragon ate a few pistons.

I rode with Brett Rasmunsen one time last year in epic snow conditions, 3-4 feet of fresh snow. Where it took us over an hour to break trail on the hwy. to get to the parking lots.. I was running 16-18#s and was getting higher up the hills but, Brett could sidehill the pi$$ out of the hills and turn on a dime and start the other way. It was one of the coolest times to just watch Brett boondock. He was having a blast.. The m8 will be easy to manuver all around and will be a blast to boondock. The Nytro is Heavier and you can go thru the trees pretty good. But if you love to climb the steep and deep there is no comparison the Nytro can take more boost than any 2 stroke.. AND last. Both sled have your pro's and con's.. Bottom line get one of each and do your own testing.

Not to hijack the thread, but I used to think I was a good rider (been riding for over 20 years) until I rode with Brett a couple years ago. He makes the sled do exactly what he wants it to, and makes it look effortless. I was impressed!!! Did he take the tnytro for a spin?

Ya kinda crazy what a real great rider can do. I am a 20 year rider and ride with 1 or 2 guys that will clean a 900 all day long with a great set up with a 600.
I thought long and hard about this after the Apex was on top of me and had me pinned up against a tree.
But at the end of the day after spending a lot of time on a m1000 and a stock nytro I decided to do the nytro just because I want to put gas in it and ride and do nothing else:D
