nytro top end loss big time anyone else? 760kms no oil change?

i was towing a AC 800 the other day with my nytro, went for a spin on her yesterday lost about 10-16kms on my top end just wondering if i worked the motor to hard pulling the heavy 800 or not changing my oil yet?

i was draging my brothers mountain cat 800 the other day when we did a rebuild on the top end went out she was good i was driving the 800 then started to have fuel problems and it got so bad i just said ill tow it home, so i tied it up and draged it back, then after that the next day we went out and now she only gets going about 138-141 and for like the last few weeks i had her going any were from 151-156kms, but i do have 760kms and have yet to get an out change yet would that be the problem or was it from me towing the sled? need help it was going to be my drag sled this year but if its running like this i can run it to slow.

Did you rebuild the top end on the 800 or the Nytro?

800 AC, Nytro shouldnt need nothing, just suffering power loss on top end by 10-16kms

Definatly needs new oil....that old stuff would slow you down huge....I cant believe it will still do 140

why cant you believe she can still do 140, ive had her run with my buddys 900 and i was ahead of him till about 151-156kms when i toped out? is this fast for what she is?

It should be faster with that oil in it because it's thinner.

Maybe, just maybe the belt is a tad narrower after towing the kitty. Whats
the top end RPM? Same as before? less???????

ok ill polish up my cluches and put a new belt on, and my oil is almost black as well so i guess i should change that as well lol, but yeah she gets the same in everything esle RPm's and stuff, well thanks

this is eactly what I thought. Put a new belt on it or adjust the belt deflection in the secondary back to Yammaha specs and see what happens.

thanks shes going in the my shop for a new track and a total check up anyways, but thats good to hear its just a belt, i was hoping i didnt hurt the motor because that would suck
