Nytro MTX Front Shocks

If any of you have had problems getting better shocks for your Nytro's like I have, here is some help. I live in southern Oregon but found some awesome front shocks for my Nytro MTX. They were Fox Float X front shocks. They have piggy back reservoirs and are adjustable. (The standard Fox Floats leave way to much to be desired.) I found them on the Yamaha Canada website for sale, but no one at Yamaha said I could buy them. After a month of arguing with them, A great dealer in Sublimity, Oregon called Power Yamaha, was able to get these for me. I dealt with a guy named Drew. Anyway, I included some pictures of the shocks and the Yamaha part numbers. They were 480.00ea US and well worth it.

480$ for the X's...wow... They look like take offs, is that what a version of the RTX Nytro uses?
No hiem joints...
Are they used?

That is what the SE version of the RTX uses... Someone screwed up, as the RTX standard nytro list for about 900 bucks on the Canada site...

Interesting ordeal... but I think you got lucky with a mistake...

Sorry, my mistake. They were 480.00 each US and they are brand new. They are also the shocks that come stock on the new Nytro RTX SE. I gave the Yamaha Dealers the part # for the shocks that are advertised on the Yamaha Canada website and they kept telling me that it was not a good part #. I even called dealers in Canada and got the same response. I had so much troble getting these shocks so I posted the pics with part #'s in case anyone else was having the same kind of trouble.

yes, those are the same shocks, but notice the part # on the website. It is a bogus part #. That is why I took a picture of the bag that the Fox X shocks came in. There is a genuine Yamaha tag with the part # on it.

Buy them from FOX, you'll get the hiems that way.

Much better in the long run for your suspension.

It basically allows the shock the ability to pivot or rotate forwards n backwards, instead of forcing other parts to BEND forward or backwards..

960$ is still a decent price for 2, but I'd rather have the "Fox" version, not "Yamahas" version.

I made absolutley sure the 2nd set of Floats I bought were heim joints.
