Nytro MTX Aftermarket Skid question

I'm looking at replacing the entire skid on my 08 Nytro MTX. I have destroyed the stock skid. I have looked at EZ Ryde, M10, Fabcraft, and Timbersled. It looks like to me the EZ Ryde, M10, and Fabcraft are all complete suspensions and the timber sled uses the existing rails. My rails wheels, shafts, ect are bent beyond repair. (Dam rocks)

So I'm looking for any feedback on any aftermarket suspensions. It sounds like the timbersled is the way to go but looking for opinions.

Any info is greatly appreciated.

If you like jumping ad riding real hard...I wouldn't recommend the timbersled stuff, as their rear arm bends like a pretzel. CR racing does a nice m-10 style skid as well:D

I went Timber sled with cr racing rails made for this skid. Nice clean setup every hole was drilled.

Can't beat an Expert-X for durability and adjustment(love mine) but they are heavy. If I had to give up my Expert I would get an Ez-ryde, they look pretty strong.

Timbersleds can set you up with a complete skid if you want. They have the Ice age rails which can be tipped up or straight. I would bet you have enough parts even on a destroyed skid to put it together.

One warning is that if you are super aggressive and a big jumper you would be better with the Expert X. My timbersled is a good climber and boondocker, but when things get super rough it does bottom easily. If I pump the shocks up enough to tackle the rough stuff the ride quality suffers.

For me it's the best choice, but it depends on what you want.

i have slightly used complete and ready to go timbersled mountain tamer ready for sale right now.

I would go with a Racers Edge set up vs. the timbersled or the Ez Ride if you are looking for a lower cost alternative. I know a few guys that switched from EZ and Timber and wont go back. Guys from the US have alot better buying power now that the CAD is down to normal. M10/CR10 my first choice.

I want to know about the team fast m10 mountain suspension that they have. Who is running that skid and what do you think? Does it change your track aproach angle??

I understand that with the fabcraft it will change your angle according to hartman.

I just purchased one today...so I'll let you know after I get some snow time on it:D

I am just keeping this at the top. I am interested in a skid that will put up with the abuse of my fat *** on the trail but also loose some weight and work great while boondocking.

From what I have seen this year, the best value is the Racers Edge rear arm with coilover.

Two of my buddies on here have blown there front shocks out of their EZ Ryde rear suspension. Supposedly bad FOX shocks :confused:
Rides nice under boost when I rode it though. But it costs time and money because they both broke while on a trip in Canada.

Just installed an EZ Ryde into an 08 MTX and the install was quick and easy. Stock skid weighed 64.5 lbs and the EZ Ryde weighed 41.5 lbs.

i have a m10 with cr rails and am now happy with it .keeps the front end down well but will still wheelie while boondocking . the shock pressure is very important though and theres recalls on the air bags , just a pita

I have had a Timbersled and Arctic Cat skids. Just got the M 10 skid under my nytro and this is the best skid I have used with big boost!!

What was the recall on the air bags??
