i have a mtn.tamer in my nytro w ice age 153 (straight) rails. the problem is the skid does not sit flat.it has an upward angle from front to rear. about an inch to a inch in a half. tried sucking up the limiter strap two holes to level it out. no luck. maybe this is normal but does not seem right and the sled trenches almost as bad as stock, which could be rider. wondering if anyone has came across this problem

HOw much air pressure are you running front and rear?

When you tightened your limiter straps, are they completely free of slack? If not, tighten more.

Have you called TS and talked to Budd or Alan about it?

Most likely you need to suck up the limiter strap more. should sit flat on the floor with just a little slack in the limiter strap. You might have to much air in the shock also.

the limiter has slack in the snow but is tight when sitting on flat floor. it is sucked up two holes past the original setup measurement. the front shock is at 95 and the rear at 135. i havent called budd or allen just yet, even though they are always helpfull.

Got any pictures to show this? Might help....

Have somebody sit on the snowmobile so the skid is sitting flat on the floor then look to see how loose the limiter strap is. set the limiter strap so it is just a litttle loose will sitting on the sled. Not sure what your waight is I,m 215lbs and I run 130 in the rear 70 in the front shock.

Butta thats way to much air in the front shock your going to bend the back arm. When the back arm get to the bottom of the slide and couples it has to pull the front arm up with it. So with that much air in the front shock it's putting a ton of presure on the back arm plus it won't let the suspension work properly.

I would HIGHLY recommend to everyone to get an AntiStab kit!!! it is some of the best insurance ($60) you can spend, to prevent track failure etc. etc.

here is a pic of it installed on my sled...

I know of several failures this year, and a couple had Timbersleds, so it is not just a timbersled issue...

Ok, thank you for the heads up. I will drop it and see how it handles. Hope it doesn't change too much, 'cause I'm able to go just about anywhere.

if anything, you will go better, and the ride will be smoother, your not alling the value of this suspension to work as designed...

you will have a good time!!!
