my nytro keeps stalling today & flashes a code 10 then flashes a different number each time it quites & the last time it did it i left the key on & it started to flash codes & the head light keep going on & off. one more thing is everybody else wearing out here drivers my started to skip today & if i try to tighten the track more i will have to replace my sliders for the 3rd time this year & yes i run scrachers to

Is it a stock sled? Are you throwing code 30? Have you had it tipped over or upside down?
it's stock with mbrp exhaust & power commander.no i have not had it upside down or tipped over thanks for reply
i have the service manual open, there is no fault code 10 listed. you sure on the code? they start at 12. there also is no diagnostic code 10. they go to 9 then jump to 24 and procede up.
if drivers are skipping and vibrating, it is time for new drivers. i had to put new ones on mine recently, went with avids. as far as sliders, stop playing around with the standard hyfax and buy a set of hyperfax. problem solved permenantly. ski

i tried today to run it & it would start then shut down it did this three times with no codes then on the 4th time it shut down then the head light started to blink on & off a few times then it started & ran for about 10 minutes then quite & finally flashed a code 12. is this driver situation common cause it seemed to happen in the last two rides out i looked at them they are worn bad
code 12 is the crankshaft position sensor code. sled wont run with that problem per manual.
open circut in harness (bulletin on a wire rub issue on the fx nytros) see dealer
or
defective sensor
or
malfunction in pick up rotor
or
malfunction in ecu
or
improperly installed crankshaft sensor (probably not if you have had the sled awhile)
all the above is per service manual.
at any rate it should be covered under warantee, take her to the dealer.
sled has alot of torque and seem to chew up the stock drivers. the avids are a one piece design and do the same thing as the two piece oem drivers. so instead of having 4 drivers, you will only have two, if you go to avids or wahl. if your skipping even after the tightened track, i'll bet money one of your drivers is spun on the shaft, and cant hold itself tight, causing your ratcheting. that is exactly what mine did.

thanks for the help skidooboyedk after many calls to different dealers one of them finally told me about the bulletin & that's whats wrong with it worn right through to wires now i will call the local dealer to see if they will fix it & i looked at my drives they are worn to a point & melted thanks for all your help that is more help then i will get with the local dealer. the dealer that sold me the sled closed it's doors so i have had no help with local dealer with any warrenty or bulletins if i had seen this bulletin i would have done somthing about it
I got the code 12 this weekend also. Where is the wire located that is getting rubbed? Thanks Jim.
left hand side in back of primary clutch the main wire harness rubs on front motor mount there's a little point on it that will puncture the wire harness mine was rub to bare wire

thanks to skidooboyedk nytro up & running again anybody that has not checked for the wire that rubs i would do it,it left me stranded & my dealer did not tell me about this bulletin that was sent out & would do nothing about it they could have told me & problem solved instead i had to take it all apart & fix two bare wires in harness
