Nytro Headlight...Screened. *pics*

Update: Pics added below on post #9.

Well, finally getting a bit more active with some mods I've been wanting to do.

Heres a quick mock up I made tonight for my screened head light hole on the stock Nytro hood.

Its a bit crude, but I think will be quite effective.. I felt I need to keep the rounded and slant to it, otherwise snow would just pile up right in the hole.

I used a piece of wire mesh aluminum, nylon zip tied on on. And will cut out some dog screen to then go over the top of it.
I figured 'over the top' would allow snow to slide or easily be pushed off instead of the al mesh which it may stick to.

Its crude, but, I think it'll work, and still allow a LOT more airflow this way, over my previous approach, relocating the windshield over the hole completely blocking air flow..

Now to determine how to attach the screen. Was thinking maybe just zip tying it all together at once... hmm

lol kind like a moped . looks like it should work good though . why not take the screen back a litte farther though and cover the holes behind the headlights as well ? for the pet screen just take the mesh off and get some spray glue from an upolstry shop , spray youre mesh and lay the screen on . just make sure you leave some screen to wrap around the ack of the mesh a half inch or so .i bet it will look pretty wicked once the screen is on though .

looks great. take all the ends of the mesh and snip them off(look a little more finished) looking good. you can tell sledding season is here, all the mods on the sleds are happening and looking good!!

i'll be doing the back holes from underneath...just screen glued to the inside. those look like easy ones to finish off.

thanks for the comments. i was debating to leave some of the 'sharp edges' to let the screen hook over a bit, it should get covered and be un-noticable w/ the screen wrapped.. we'll see. hands sore from snippin' already. lol

Update: Finished this last night, i hand sewed the screen, 1 piece on each side of the mesh. Turned out fairly well. Function over form.. The pics show it a bit "brighter" than it really looks. It does look darker by normal light. Flash sorta over brightened the corner of the garage. :P
