I am going to put a turbo on my 2008 nytro this summer. The problem I am running into is do I really want to tear apart a perfectly good engine to install a head shim. Threw the research I have done, the only reason to install a head shim is to lower compression so a person can run pump gas without adding race fuel.
Wouldnt it be safe to run like 12 pounds of boost and run 50/50 pump gas and race fuel along with a air fuel gauge. I know alot of people out there want to MOST horsepower they can get which is cool but I think I would be satisfied with around 200 to 230 horse running a 50/50 fuel mixture. Is this a safe combination.
Sorry if this has been discussed before but I will be new to the turbo thing. thanks
