Nytro Exhaust Options

I need suggestions. Trying to decide on an exhaust system for my unboosted Nytro. I would like to find something that adds a few ponies but also loses some weight (8-10 lbs maybe??) I guess I'm hoping for a slip-on exhaust that doesn't require too many modifications to mount and that looks good. I have thought about a sport bike exhaust but I have never seen a Nytro around here that has one so I'm not sure how hard it would be to install and if it would look decent. Anyone have pics? I would also like to not break the bank if possible. I know I'm asking for a lot but any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.:beer;:beer;

Timberwolf,

You'll love the Super or Ultra Q I had one on my Nytro last year and LOVED IT!! It drops only 5 lbs but it's a snap to install, sounds great and needs no mods after installation.

Shot me a PM if you would like a quote.

You have your options

Super Q (loud)
Ultra Q (not as loud)

Ceramic Coated Polished or Black or Black High Temp Finish.

I would recommend the Ceramic because of the turn out at the end is exposed.

timberwolf,I put a yoshimura sports bike slip on my sons nytro it shaved off at least 10 lbs, found it on ebay for about 175.00 was eazy to install and sound real good, dont think it gained any ponys but it didnt hurt.If you want i could e- mail you pictures.

Call Chad at Peak Motorsports in Alamosa. He has done this on plenty of 4 strokes. His brother (Sean owner of Mtn Tech Yamaha) Put a YZ450F take off muffler on his Nytro.

Plumber, what is the model # of the Yoshimura exhaust? Are there any engine mods that need done after this exhaust goes on. I'm fairly new to four-strokes so you will have to excuse my ignorance. LOL

Don't know the model# but it was a take off from a Honda cbr 600,no other mods needed just install, e-mailed you some pictures,if you want to look at it in person let me know.

Aaen Option

Take a look at the Aaen website's new slip on they came out with for the Nytro. It's supposed to add 6 H/P & 3lb of torque, while saving 7 lbs. I ordered one about 3 weeks ago and it just came in yesterday. We'll see if it does what they claim!

Good Luck!

I just got my AAEN. I'm going to put it on sometime this week. When I do I'll post up some vid of the results.

I'd like to see the AAEN pipe installed if you guys could post a pic when your done that would be great.:D

I installed a Yoshimura Ti RS5 (07/08 Honda CBR 600 RR part recommended) on mine as well, lost 14 lbs (yes, I weighed both stock and Yosh) and gained 200-300 rpms. Spoke with a very reputable tuner nearby, and according to the increased rpms on the tach, I gained approximately 5 hp according to his testing with sportbike mufflers that yielded the same gain in the rev range. Bought mine on ebay, brand new in the box for $175, can't complain one bit ! Oh yeah, it sounds deadly too !!!

Enjoy !

i just built my own outta a car exhaust, cut the exhaust down a little used the slip on part and modified it and made it work to the car exhaust same stuff i even have a baffel that makes it quite haha and its black chrome it looks nice and i just had to rig up a little bracket to hold it all ill get some pics for you soon, but for a 100 bucks and a little labour you can call it your own.

Has anyone tried just using a regular auto glasspack? How does it sound. I was thinking of going this route, but making it under tunnel style.
Any sound clips?

Does anyone have any pics of the AAEN system installed? I would like to see how it looks. I have heard sound clips and it sounds pretty good. Just want to see how the fit and finish is on it.

I just have a bad Cellphoto pic. I'll have a video up of the install and sound comparisions with stock soon. I tweaked mine some so turnout would really point out the side, I still need to cut the stock plastic some so it'll fit good.

If anyone has any tips on cutting the stock exhaust plastic post up.
