Nytro engine parts or wrecked nytro

Well my das Tnytro blew yesterday. After lots of reflashes and all kinds of updates and still not running worth a crap, it coughed. Ruined 3 injectors, block, head, cylinder and the turbo too.

If anyone has any parts or knows of a wrecked one for sale somewhere please pm me

Sorry this is not quite on topic with your post, but what kit and what was the cause of the engine failure? Im guessing a lean condition?

It was a powderlites kit. Not sure what caused it, i'll ask him tonight

Sorry to hear that. Since the latest flash, I have noticed some high numbers on occasion also. I've been very careful to stay out of the throttle under those circumstances. Need to talk to Dave, maybe the latest flash is too lean? Otherwise, my kit has always ran perfectly.

I have seen high numbers as well, not only on this flash but all the other ones as well. Sometimes it seems ok but other times i see low 13s. I checked the plugs when i pulled my tank to change it out and they looked great. No signs on detonation, heat range looked good, etc. That put my mind at ease a bit. So far I have 350 kms on my powderlites kit.

Part throttle mapping is definitely out, this thing is running way too rich under low load conditions. Hopefully that is something that is resolved in the not too distant future.

Overall though, I am very happy with the kit.

Yeah, pump gas and low boost. Was running a little AV to clean up my 91and found out that's a no, no.

You might consider getting another nytro used or new if you cant find motor....they are pretty cheap....i know some 08 nytro mtx holdovers were selling for 7 grand brand new. these rebuilds just get sooooooo expensive when you buy all the parts from yamaha. And you have a complete sled for parts/ parting out.

Just got off the phone with dad and he said a piece of the impeller on the turbo came off and went into the motor.

Did he have his intake tube break or something? Its not very often a turbo will fail like that without having something sucked into it.

If nothing took that impeller out, I'd be pissed. Turbo company should do something there. A bearing failure won't do that.
