nytro diet

timbersled suspension front and rear, light wieght battery will give your 50 lbs, and I have nitrous on my turboed nytro it works great, as for how much hp. thats up to you, you can add as much hp as you want with nitrous. or as much as the motor will handle. I am running a 30 hp. shut with about 15 lbs boost.

Im running a 40-50 hp shot works awesome.. Just wish I could have that extra hp all the time...

Biggest Diets for the Nytro that I have found are below

Timbersled Mtn Tamer (rear skid)= 38 lbs.
Lightweight Battery= 8-10 lbs.
Timbersled Barkbuster (front end kit)= 8 lbs.
Fox Floats (front shicks)= 6 lbs.
Rear Exhaust= up to 10 lbs.
Misc. etc. = 10 lbs.
Total diet= 82 lbs!!!

Some turbo kits shed lots of stuff- up to 15 lbs. or more... and WOW!!!!

From Camoplast's Website:

Challenger Extreme:
9944M 16" x 162"
2.5"
58.5 lbs

Maverick
9025M 15" x 153"
2.25"
48 lbs

i put that track on my sled, and man makes a massive difference.. and you dont notice the weight, it acually makes the sled work so much better..

i put about 600km wiht the stock gearing. so iam going to try a 19t gear for a few km's to see the difference.. and well also just to give me some more rpm so i can clutch a bit better

I don,t have an egt gauge but my a/f readings are 12.5 I can adjust my fuel pressure and put them anywhere I want them,

It that at WOT?

How did all these mods affect the front to back weight balance?

That is spinning weight which is very different than "dead" weight. Requires more power to get up to speed, but should add to maintaining forward momentum. The composition and tread design aside.

lots going to that gearing, please post thoughts on it when you do....

I'm down to an 18 on top. Most seem to think that is too low, but I would'nt have it anyother way.

I FIGURE THIS WILL COST ABOUT 3600.00 IS THAT RIGHT? DIET PLUS NITROUS MAYBE A NEW TRACK AND THIS WOULD BE AN AWESOME SLED YOU CAN DEPEND ON. WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Did I read that right? The Timbersled skid is -38lbs from stock:eek: If so, money well spent

Stock skid 68.5 lbs, Installed 08 cat skid with Ice Age 162 rails, lost 26.5 lbs
Replaced stock rear brackets with timber sled brackets lost 8 lbs
6 lbs was lost in front fox floats and removing sway bar
9 lbs lost in Excell exhaust
3 lbs lost with a cat 162 track over stock 153 maverick

yuppers, timbersled mtn tamer is 38 lbs savings!!!!! incredible!!! and makes a MONUMENTAL difference...will post a ride report once it is installed...the barkbuster front should be hear monday or tuesday, and will be on before weekend...

should see the mtn tamer before the following week...and the rest is in UPS as we speak as well... :)

I just weighed my sled and it wasn't on a Truck scale a digital hanging scale.

Siphoned out as much gas as possible. When i turned the key it showed low fuel and 1 bar. Here is what i got

40th with Reverse
Timbersled Suspension and drop brackets
162x15x2.5 cama extreme
ice scratchers
snowbunjie lefty
mcxpress turbo
boost and af guage
fox floats (did NOT remove sway bar)
WPS rail extensions
Powmadd cargo caddy
removed foam
no snow flap
no e brake

588.5 lbs

stock tank says it holds 7.3 gal. OK maybe i had .3 in it. gas weighs 6.153lbs per gal. add another 43.064lbs

632.064 wet weight.

Tunnel, remove radiator, lightweight battery should get me real close to 600lbs wet. I am not really to concerned about weight but it's fun doing the calculations.

For comparison purposes
Rotax's Rev 05 Rev 151 with some goodies - 575 wet
backcountryislife wife's sled 08 M1000 with some goodies - 572 70-80% wet
