Nytro chain case issues...help

So my nytro is new to me...
I was changing my belt and noticed a large amount of travel in my secondary, chain must be loose right.
Went to tighten it up so I did, only thing is it never really took the roll out of the secondary or from the disk. Only feels harder to turn but with the same amount of play. Thinking the chain and sprockets are so worn it's rolling in the saddle?
Any ideas here before I dive into it.
Oh yah so if I turn left till tight with the disk it will move 2 inches plus to the right when turned, tight or loose?

All Yamaha units with reverse will do this. Just put your chain adjuster hand tight and dont worry about it. The play comes from lower gear and how it engages the drive gear. All good.

got it

thanks guys, great info. I pulled the the chain case apart anyhow just to see how it ticks so I know what your talking about now. yah everything looks good and I see where the slack is coming from. I all so noticed that "bolt" that everyones talking about is broke so I just took the head out and reassembled it.
thanks for the help.
