Nytro Boondocker turbo

So I bought a sled w/ a boondocker kit on it. I wanted to know opinions from other owners of the same set up. Runs great (so far, limited time on it) but the fuel tank is a pain in the ***. It is a two man job to mount.
I have looked at a couple of other sleds/tanks and they all seem to fit really, overly tight. My BIGGEST concern is my filler cap leaks, it has molding marks where the cap should seal. Anyone else have this? I have not noticed it on any other kits yet. Boondocker is totally willing to SELL me another one but claims it to not be a defect.

UPDATE--New tank on the way! thanks Jr.

BOONDOCKER SUCKS and you will get no help from them!!!

I have always had pretty good luck when I spoke with Rocky himself. But I've been trying to get some answers on a intercooler fan with shroud for my BD Apex for 2 weeks now and nothing. Several calls and pm's later, they can't even tell me "no, we can't help you".

I think bondocker should be fixing that tank!!!!, isnt there some liability if there was a fire because of bad tank. I cant believe they arent wiling to just send you a new one. Course I have a header off an apex thats fuc*ed warped they wont do crap either... makes ya wanna refer them huh.

Thanks,
Junior

I have sold the kit and just trying to make it right for my buddy who bought it. I will pass the word on that he should call ya. Thanks for stepping up to the plate, this sleddin world is too small to not have excellent service. We are going to try a new gasket company that guarranties their product. Remflex.com I sent him a old metal gasket and he is going to tool up and cut us some, says you will only need one, they dont leak.

savedbygrace had a completely differnt (way better) attitude then when I called with the problem in June. Thanks Junior,Much appreciated!

But for all you nytro owners, any techniques for getting these tanks on? did you move the bolts back? it took two people last time and tried it on my lonely this time and just scratched the tunnel and dug the bolts into the tank real hard.

Sounds like you need to hit the gym!! ;) (too bad you're alergic and get a "puffed up" when you workout!!) :eek: :D :beer;

Seriously though...as you know I have the trailtank on mine, and had to resort to a 4x4 block and a sledge hammer to get mine on. When in doubt, get a bigger hammer!!

Cant remember, did we do yours by hand? Seems like we had a prybar of some sort??

my 110lb lethargic frame just did not have it in it this week. neither did my full set of hammers (both metric & standard)
I am going to see if my 12 year old neighbor can help, she is a lot stronger then me!

lmao!!! gotta get me a set of metric hammers for the yammi!! :D

Junior is the man no doubt.

When I need to reinstall the tank, I usually just slip the front in, then get behind the tank and push it into place. It's never been to big of a deal for me. Our tank dont leak at all, so there must be something going on with that tank for sure.
Our Turbo setup on the Nytro is outstanding. You will not be disapointed.

Jetpilot, what is that all about? I know you like Paul, but come on!

This year when you are on your Impulse, lets go ride and do a little comparison. Just for kicks.

By the way, BOONDOCKERS ROCK!! And I am willing to prove it!

Boondockers Rock

I have had some issues with my Boondocker turbo for my Nytro. the Tank leaked and had trouble with 2 turbos. Boondockers replaced my tank N/C
and sent out new turbos that same day we called!!! N/C I was up and running within 3 days.. That is what I call customer service.. That's too bad some people have had a bad experience. I have always felt that if you need something from anyone!! Treat them the way you want to be treated with
professionalism and respect and you will get alot further. This has always worked for me to some extent. Junior Iam glad you stepped up and called them out and I hope you can take care of them.. But "you can't please everyone all the time" Now lets get some SNOW!!

JSCC - I bought a boondocker kit, spend a lot of $$$, had them install there own product and had nothing but problems and headaches and had no help and customer service was a joke, that is what that is all about. I do like Paul, I do like his product, I do like his customer service and I am not the only one that feels that way.

About getting together, anytime and any place, you just let me know when and where, it would be interesting to see the two turbo kits run next to each other.

Yea, that sounds like some fun!

Now, if we could just find someone with another brand.......anyone? I guarantee you a terrific ride....

More the better, I would like a Powderlite, Alpine, MCX to show up also and we would have a good time! Let the games begin! I am thinking Tony Grove for the meeting place, steep and hopefully 2-3 feet of fresh powder deep!!!
