Nytro -- 1st ride...

:D :D :D All I can say is WOW!!
Totally incredible machine!!!! 3 feet of fresh Colorado powder and NEVER missed a beat, not even a burp, ran below or at half throttle all day!!! 38 miles and just at a half of tank of gas... I was really amazed on how well it ran while it was submerged under the snow, Yamaha really hit nail on head with this sled... Anyone who had bad things to say about this sled needs to hone their riding skills, forget that, it's practically effortless to ride....
The power band is unbelievable, I doubt I will ever ride a noisy, smoking 2 stroke ever again.. Hittin' the Ears again tomorrow... :p

dam things so heavy it submarines around under the snow instead of on top of it! lol

Friends took out a buddy --- life long sled head with his new XP

Let him try a few Nytro Turbos ( short and long tracks) he calls the XP his big mistake .

He was grinding away at 50 KM per hour while the turbos were caving doughnuts around him in 3 feet of powder -- Even the shorty kicked his but.

Totally stock Nytros other than MCX kits.

Hope you feel good about yourself trying to be a A-ss

Holy snow Batman!!
Hey mmaxcarver, how do you have your skid set-up. Limiters, front shock, transfer rods?

Thanks

do you have the special "Colorado" clutching? I heard a few got some new clutching, and it made a huge difference.

welcome to the nytro club. See ya out there.

LMAO at totally stock nytros, other than MCX kits. You guys crack me up. How much do a turbo run these days, 5-6 grand? They do look like fun sleds though.

Yep and when we sell them they are worth almost what we have put into them. I was a die-hard two stroke guy and after my Nytro I would have a hard time going 2 stroke again. The Nytro even in stock forum is so much fun just has a big grin factor.

Read on my friend. We are here for your comedic pleasure. Hey, you might even learn a thing or two!!

Im not knocking the Nytro. I think they are great sleds and they look great. But a boosted Nytro is far from stock. The word stock shouldnt even be in the same country as a boosted Nytro.

And the reason I read the Yammi forum is to learn a thing or two. I like reading anything about sleds and the more I read the more I know.

Took her out again today, burned up the whole tank of gas in 45 miles of 2 to 3 of powder, very happy with the machine, smooth as silk, big grin on my face all day long!! Did learn one thing the exhaust diverter is a must regardless if you strap anything to the back. The exhaust just melts the snow back there and turns it to 20 pounds of slush, something it definately doesn't need, it's a must.... Had one trenching episode, decent incline, very deep snow, turned out of it in time but still trenched in a bit,(ok a lot!) stopped, rocked the sled a bit and goosed the throttle and she slowly came out without any digging involved. I love that torquey 4 stroke it is soooo sweet... I'm quite sure a light weight skid is in it's future, lots of iron in that stock skid, can only make it that much better....

I think the straps could be tightened up a bit, they are pretty loose right now, have not even looked at the shocks or the transfer rods, don't even know how to adjust the rods?? I just got the sled Thursday, 5 minutes after it was in my garage I was drilling holes in it, taking things off, putting things on it, kinda made me sad but had to get her ride ready :D

I looked at the clutch and it appeared it had been worked on but they would not tell me, hence the high $ charge if you did not buy the sled from them... One of these days maybe do a comparison to Jim's.. Hooks up great now, can't imagine it getting any better but what do I know, I just ride it with a perma grin on my face :D :D...

Sounds like today was another good'er, eh Greg? Glad to hear your Nytro is all you wished for. New sleds are nice, uh?

I agree! I can't see why the he!! people compare a $15k-$20k BOOSTED sled
to a stock anything. Of course a boosted Nytro will run circles around an XP.

And I read a LOT of the Pol, Cat and Doo 4M's also.
