Nytro 15" or 16" wide track??

Im just in the process of building my Nytro turbo. I have the track a Camo Extreme 162 x 16 x 2.5, Should I keep it simple and exchange it for the 15" track. I don't want rubbing issues in the future, or is it easy to make a 16" wide work. I am installing the CR162 tunnel with the Fast M10 suspension.

I ran all this season with a 144x16x2.5. I tore it in half last weekend and will be replacing it with a 144x15x2.5. IMO, the 16" wide handles to differently in a bad way, in deep snow it seemed to make carving harder as the sled either wanted to be on it's side or flat. I've also never seen the extra inch of width make a difference. The 16" wides float better but the 15" wides pull alittle more track speed which I think actually makes more of a difference. My sled isn't and won't be turboed though.

This is one of those questions like what oil do you use...... There are so many opinions. After spending the season on a 16 wide. I will be going to a 15 wide for next year. This is on a Turboed Apex. For the riding I do I would rather have the maneuverability. The 16 wide is like riding a 4x8 sheet of plywood.

If I owned a Nytro I would leave it a 15 wide!

I am running the same setup CR tunnel m10 and have a 15 on mine. I have no reason to change but I know some guys with 16's that are changing back.

Here's another question for ya. I just bought a TNytro. I love the 153, 155 track lengths. i was gonna chnage it to the new arctic track and leave it a 153. is that gonna be long enough?

I am running the 153, and turboed the 162 would be better I feel. I have more issues with to much transfer than lack of speed over the top. I am going with tamer skid and 162x15x2.5 for this fall. With a turbo the track speed will make the difference, not the extra 1/2" on each side, length and skid will help keep the ski tips from blocking your line of site

nope!!!

Unless you ride in a lot of cement (wet snow) go for the 162. In addition, the 16 climbs noticeably better. I ride with a very similar tytro with a 15 track.

Sap is so right on there is no way I will ever do another 16 Maybe if you live in REVE but I never thought I would say this but there is such thing as to much traction

I want to do the same???? but woried about the rear bumper

The 162 Challenger X is the right track for the TNytro, great traction and still handles well in the trees. The 153 will still climb pretty well but its a catwalking beast to ride.
