I don't mean to be a downer, but it is hard for me to get excited about snow in September. I used to all the time, but it will just warm up afterward and most of it will melt off and what sticks around at the higher elevations into winter will become weak, sugary, faceted snow that will be our usual prevailing weak layer causing many avy issues.
Now, if it can actually get kicked off and keep on dumping steadily now into december, then hip, hip, hooray! I just don't think it's gonna go down like that.

Really at 4K?? Gets the blood going. I hope it snows so much this winter that I can't get out of my driveway....that would chase all the greenies back to there homeland!
I hope it starts soon and snows all winter. I always like the gulf huricanes that bring tons of snow up to the rockies

yeah, i took some pics on my walk to and from class and the snow picked up a lot in just an hour... most of the grass is totally gone now in town!!! WOO no classes for me tommorow, i might have to go do some snow reports around in the hills!
i can see snows on the hills in the yard!!
