Just went from a full size enclosed to one of these new lightwieght Triton trailers.
Didn't think about how I was going to store the helmets and gear.
Anybody got any suggestions / pics of some space saving storage racks?
I have a Floe trailer similar to that. I put fold down hooks on the sides and there is plenty room for a couple rubbermaid boxes between sleds. You will really like how easy it pulls.
Thanks for all the suggestions.
The fold down hooks seem like a great idea. I'm also thinking about seeing if I can fit some double helmet racks in the rounded front section to either side of the front door. Looks like there is just enough room to fit my 151" plus the 14" or so needed for the rack.
I'll just have to rig a way to mount them in there.
Got it cheap. I paid $3500. Found a guy who bought it new in Feb' 2008 and then he traded his sleds in on a Harley.
The trailer has exactly 2 trips on it!
I sold my 3000#+ full size enclosed and went with the Triton to save gas.
It pulls like it's not there but at 75+ you can feel alot of wind drag.
If you do get one make sure you use wheel chocks. A week after I bought it and before I had the sleds in it we had a bad windstorm. If it had not been for a wheelbarrow I had in front of it it would have rolled down my inclined driveway and into the street. lucky!
