Not sure if this is normal, wierd tire wear ??

Not sure if this is normal, wierd trailer tire wear (pics) ??

I bought a used Triton open two place trailer a few months back. I knew the tires were due for relacement before next season but I didnt quite make it. This is the first trailer I have ever had with small tires (10"). Is this normal wear ?

The more I look at the torsion axle it looks like there is a small bend in the center. (Keep in mind the spare pictured on the right side is smaller, it was the old spare)

I just dont want to put a set of tires on it if its going to wear them out prematurely without adressing the cause. I am not dealing with flats and crap mid season ! I havent had time to tear into the wheel bearings but they felt tight ?

What do you think ?

the crown in the center of the axle is normal(it bends straight when loaded)..but the wear on the 1 tire looks like the spindle might be bent...run a tape measure from rim to rim on 4 sides...(top, bottom, frt, rear) should have about 1/16 to 1/8 toe in as well as 1/4 to 3/8 camber(wider at the top then bottom when unloaded)..loose bearings can cause that kind of wear as well but you said they are tight...if worried buy a bare axle(they normally run about 200.00) and reuse the rest of your parts.........

my 2 place axel is bent like yours.2 new tires for 80 bucks and should be good for awhile.i learned to keep them full on the air.like 55 pounds i think.

My 2 place showed the same tire wear after our 2 week trip out west this year. The trailer has a bazillion miles on it and I'm sure my the axle is fubared in some way/shape/form.

I picked up 2 new spares, but I'm going to run the other tires until they're destroyed.

I agree this is worth checking, whats the best way ?

Easiest is to check the distance from the hitch to a point nearest the outside of the axle as possible. Try to pick a point that is most likely to be identical on both ends of the axle. Your measurements for one side vs. the other should be identical (in a perfect world).

Ok, I thought that was what you ment. My only other alignment concern is from tire to tire Camber, toe, Etc. I will check that like suggested above. I know the previous owner added blocks for the larger 10" tires things could have got out of wack from that.......

Thanks :)
