Northern Idaho Lodge Question

There was a lodge. I believe up by Lake Oreille. You could ride into it. Maybe stay the night but get a burger for sure. Antone know the name of the lodge?

it's called the happy hermit. it' is off of lake pend oreille (pronounce pond orray)

yes they are open, yes you can get a burger and a beer and stay the night. they have a little hotel there. haven't been there in 20 years, but did talk to the owners at the start of the season, and they were going to be open.

there is also another place outside of coeur d'alene, that you can ride into and get a burger and a beer called the cascade inn. they however don't have lodging. was there last week.

A second choice

There is a second lodge like you are describing. It is in the Cascade Saddle above C'da or other wise known as Fernan Lake. It is the Cascade Lodge. It has food & 3 rooms you can rent in the basement. It is ran by a man named John. It's a fun trail ride. No phone number. On the Kootenai County Idaho trail map it shows a gas pump at the site. Happy hunting.... It's a few miles (15 - 20) south of the Hermit. Same side of the Mtn & trail system.
