Does anyone have a snow report for the north shore..Tofte area? Most likely nothing on the shore, how about inland? Heading up over the newyears, need to know if I should pull the sled up or just go skiing.
Thanks

Will be up there Saturday morning staying in Tofte for 4 days to try and get some sledding in. It looks like there is enough to ride on but it wont be nothing special.

I heard the North Shore (Finland area) got 14" of fresh. Should be some good riding up there.

Snow around Tofte and farther west was awesome. Found 2-3ft of powder out side of Finland. Close to superior had 3-6" on the ground.

Glad I pulled the sled up. On the shore it was a little ruff. 6ish of new snow. Lower club trails are thin and not groomed. Further inland the state trail and forest service roads are nice. There was a strong foot of snow up around the Tressel Inn.

Thats where we stopped the first day (sunday) I thought the snow was decent up and around there. We made it down to finland after that and found some deep pockets.

We were there yesterday and there isn't any snow in town so we had to trailer out a ways. We went to Devil Track and the trails are rideable from there up the gunflint trail. There's only about 8 inches of snow off the trail, so there are rocks and logs to avoid on the trails.
The grassy picture is in town, and the other is out about 10 miles on the trail.

Yeah Joe but 14'' aint much.......

We had to ride the lakes and the swamps were too rough. The trails are fine, But what fun is that?
