Non O Ring Chain on a Timbersled

Wondering if anyone has tried it?
Setting up a Husky 300 bored out to a 330 this summer.
Thinking those crappy JT chains rob a lot of horsepower.
Would need to maintained, but thinking could live with that.

Last I checked TS was replacing the JT chains with EK o-ring chains. Get yours replaced and you won't have to worry about nuking the JT chain. As Gary said above... go with the chain that can take a beating like an o-ring chain can.

I thought TS was only replacing the chains that were failing. Are they replacing ones that still look OK? I haven't had any issues yet, but would rather replace a chain in my garage before a problem than out in a snow bank after.

We've warrantied multipled chain sets that were still functional but showing signs of rapid wear which occurs right before failure. Worth trying to process the warranty. When they start to go bad, its VERY sudden. Had multiple that needed almost no adjustment in 20 rides then wore beyond adjustment in 1 tank of fuel through the bike.
