NON Ethanol Chip

I have about 125miles on my PRO and have been running the Ethanol chip as installed by my dealer, but have been running NON-Ethanol fuel since I picked it up. My dealer filled it with Fuel with Ethanol on the first tank. I am going to put the NON-Ethanol chip in for my next ride, should I expect more Horsepower?

according to people that use their non chip they say it woke them up a little. i wanted to finish the breakin before i swapped mine, i don't have any problem getting non ethonol fuel so i don't see a reason to run it with the ethonol chip in it.

I've been running non eth fuel and the chip for it. Been waiting for a good open hill where I can make a run as is, then put in the ethanol chip, and see if I feel any difference. Will post when I've done it.

I've gone to the non-ethanol plug. The sled does feel like it pulls harder, but I was hill climbing and it was hard to tell because the snow was so deep. At high altitude, the sled is already running leaner so I gave it a shot. No detonation or other issues at all.

Bug- I also live in CO I've been contemplating swapping the resisters plugs and run the non-ethanol plug, but my concern is the fuel I'm getting has about 5% ethanol mix 91 octane . Do you know what the max amount of ethanol that I might me able to run at 9-12K elevation and not detonate?

i switched to a non ethanol plug..wow!

the sled woke up. before 8050 top rpm in a foot of snow. now 8250. i switched it out at 150 miles. always run 91 octane and i will never put the ethanol plug back in.

how many miles is everybody waiting for until they put in the nonethanol chip?

initial tank of fuel was 40-1, 50% c12 and non ethanol plug...did not even try the alky plug at all.

i am running the non ethanol chip seemed like it helped a bit one thing i noticed was it seems like it takes longer to get the pipe hot when running the non ethanol chip after letting it cool down i have to run it for about 5 min before it to runs good

I have no idea how much ethanol will cause issues at that elevation. Keep in mind that 10% ethanol means that only 10% of the fuel can be ethanol. It is usually a little less. There is no exact science in figuring this out. The higher you are the more lean your sled will be (and less ethanol). I also use Stabil marine grade fuel treatment. It is supposed to help with ethanol fuels.
