Non Carbide Skegs for Gripper Skis?

Does anyone make a normal hardweld wear bar for Polaris Gripper skis (stock on RMK Pro)? I've spent an hour online and can't find any. Frustrating. The only thing I can see that Woody's makes is a 4" 60 degree carbide. Stud Boy Shaper Bars the shortest carbide is 4.5" I don't like carbides for mountain riding. They rip up my trailer and catch on rocks, destroying A-arms. I'd rather not buy carbides and then have to grind them off on my bench grinder. It's a waste of money and time.

What I really want is a non carbide made of strong steel that will last a few seasons. Does anyone make a wear bar with a flat carbide?

The ONLY option I could find was alt impacts titanium wear bars. They were like $130 or somewhere in that area. The welds on them are beautiful, and not that they will make a noticeable difference but it is amazing how light they are. Have not rode them yet so no idea if they will hold up.

Here you go: Woody's part #HSP-1125

Those titanium bars should make some pretty sweet sparks when you cross roads:-)

I usually buy a few unbranded sets a year off some guy on eBay. Nothing fancy but they work fine and are cheap (~$15 a pr). I may have had to find his website last time, but they're out there.

I'm confused

Are you sure those Woody's HSP-1125 skegs will fit the Gripper ski? I found them before I posted the question, but the web sites that sell the HSP-1125 say it will fit the Dragon RMK and the 600RMK through 2013, but not the 800 (ProRide) RMK 2011-2015. As far as I could find, the only skeg Woody's makes that fits the Gripper is the EPI3-1125 with a 4" 60 degree carbide. Am I missing something here?

Metric ski's on proride sleds.

Close enough.

SMF is correct, the majority of the sled fasteners went metric starting with the 2011 RMK and 2010 Rush. As far as the Grippers go, only the ski / spindle bolt changed. The loop fasteners and wear bars are still SAE. FWIW

Yes, 1125 will fit.

woodys makes some, I've used them. I'd get you the wps part number but i'm too lazy to stand up and get catalog.

They kind of suck if you ride anything but good snow.

They make some serious sparks... enough that it scares ya to go near a gas pump in a plowed lot.

I would highly recommend wearbars, so much easier on floors, driveways, and trailers and you dont have to worry about them catching on anything. Little tough to get turned around on hard surfaces, but a compromise that I'm willing to make.

Not sure what kind of life you guys see out of the woodys bars but I am at 650 miles on my alt impacts and it looks like its times to start thinking about replacing. Gonna try the woodys next beings they are much cheaper.
