Non biased opinions please

I'm not brand loyal by any means. I'm picking up a sled next week and I want to hear pros and cons of the new sleds. Not looking for brand bashing just good info. Looking at a 16 axys 155, 16 skidoo t3 154, and a snow checked cat 153 3" that has evols all the way around. That's your guys take on the 3 sleds?

It doesn't matter which one other people like. All that really matters is which one feels the best to you when you get on it. All the sleds are more then capable of getting you were you want to go. You going to get the Ski doo guys saying the Polaris motors are junk. You are going to get Polaris guys that say ski doo's are disposable sleds that bend and fall apart if you look at them funny. You will get Polaris and Doo guys saying that cats has an ancient chassis with no fit and finish. You will get Polaris, Doo, & Cat guys saying Yamaha's are tanks. You will get Yamaha guys saying there is nothing like Big dependable boost. Just pick the one that fits you the best and ride the hell out of it

I wish I had the opertunity to rid all them but don't. I had a 12 proclimb and didn't care for it, but I know they came a long way this year. I have heard great things about the axys but sceptical about their motor, and wadding the thing up. I have heard the skidoo is great once you get use to it but it could take a while to get use to it. Would love boosted Yamaha power but not in my budget.

Whos the best dealer? That should be a "huge" part of the equation. In my opinion, I feel that the Poo and Doo are neck and neck, Doo has the better engine, and the nod goes to the one that you are more comfortable on. Cat would be my third choice. I would rather ski then ride a Yami....

What kind of riding do you do? Extreme sidehilling? Hill banger? I have spent time on all three chassis. They are all awesome sleds. For extreme sidehilling axys has it. Doo is very easy to ride in moderate terrain but rider forward is a bit much and does take more getting used to...more tendency to wash out if real steep and some over transfer. 16 cat is remarkably stable, predictable and rolls on edge easier in more conditions especially lower depth snow... Say under a foot or spring snow. Cat will now hold pretty extreme side hills with no issue. You don't feel weight on doo or cat but you couldn't convince the Polaris biased guys of that. After all time I've spent riding them probably give it to poo this year but just by a very small margin over cat.

Have to agree with Ace above, which dealer is best? If you have a good dealer that is close it sure makes a big difference.

I rode with two guys that have the T3 and one guy with an Axys and two others with the 2015 Cats. Heard nothing but good things about all of them.
What matters most to me is where it is made. $.02

- AXYS - Best for tree riding but most aggressive so more advanced riders only appreciate, good fit but Polaris may make improvements for 2017

- DOO- Best for straight up climbing, easiest for novice or sit down rider, good fit and finish, reliable but you may find that you own an old style model soon if Doo releases something new this Fall

-CAT- Best chance to find a price deal, reliable, powerful motor, Some better clutching and new spindles if you want the 16 model. Falls in the middle between the Doo and Poo for handling in the the trees.

So balance your type of riding with price, warranty term and the best dealer to make your choice.

I have thought Yamaha but price is a little more then I want to pay. I have been riding mountains for about 14 years and didn't ride last year or this year. My body is beat up so I know I won't be able to ride as much as I use to and still be able to go to work Monday morning.

I have a good buddy that works for our local car dealer and is putting a price together for me on a limited 162x3. Plus took into consideration the shop if it needs worked on, and I grew up with the lead tech so could be win win. I had a 12 proclimb and didn't care for it but heard the 16s are night and day different so hopefully. Hope it's the right move and thanks everyone for the input
