No shot start for Summit edge

Just read in Snowtech mag that all summit edges and sp will come with elec. start, not shot or manual because of shortages of those two features. Is that true?
I didn't snowcheck so I have my name on an edge at my dealer. Maybe I'll hold out to see if anyone doesn't want their X or expert.

It’s true. Brp mentions on their website the sleds that won’t come as ordered and what the changes are.

From Doo's website:

• Feature Adjustments: Summit Edge, Summit SP and Backcountry X/X-RS will only be available with an electric start due to the limited availability of SHOT and manual start for those models. If you pre-ordered one of these units, your dealer will contact you shortly to provide a detailed update. We apologize for adjusting some of these orders, but this is the best option to get as many riders on the snow as soon as possible this winter.
