No riding for you guys today...

bet there's a good chance of it being closed all day....natural slide and dumping like a mother all day.....when was it they closed for a week, seems like 1998?

Bunch of envious riders today---;)

But Fordy is right-No riding till late today if lucky.

Guess they have a semi-truck buried --Just starting to look at how to even get it out, and not sure how they are going to get it out:eek:---This is going to be a mess for eastbound traffic.

Info provided by a fellow sledder with blue and red lights on his rig:face-icon-small-ton and info from Good To Go!!

Well it shot our day of riding, eh Good To Go:mad:.

There is always another day for riding.

Now it says closed indefinately..... ouch. I wonder if you could just ride the road all the way up? Would be an interesting ride doing 70 on the interstate all the way up. Maybe get the avy crews to build a sweet jump? I will keep dreaming here at the office.

Thanks Good To Go--saved a drive for nothing.

Did just get a good suggestion though:rolleyes: Go up to Rattlesnake lake and get on the John Wayne trail and head on up---What ya all think;)

I was up on the pass this morning when the slide happened at the shed. Had to meet a guy up there and pass off a check for a delivery. There is not a truck stuck in the slide at the shed. Not sure where you got your info but the guy I met this morning was 3 cars back from the slide. They cut open one lane with a snow blower to let the few cars that were trapped get by and he told me that there is no way a truck was burried.

It is really ugly up there today!!!

It is going to be good up there. Slides everywhere so watch out!!!!!

Well--It must have been behind that slide--But it came from the WSP on the pass---They would not know--they are only there!!

You or your contact may have been by before it happened to the semi.

Yes --the conditions will be awesome when you can get up the hill--But watch for the avy's.

Interstate 90 is closed indefinitely due to high avalanche danger and naturally occurring snow slides. The roadway is closed eastbound at milepost 34 near North Bend and westbound at milepost 106 near Ellensburg. Avalanche control work is presently underway. Due to the weather related nature of this closure an estimated time of opening is not known. Updated information will be provided as details become available. // Snowing hard

Heavy snow is very good for business tho. I wish I could trade most of you guys spots..I need to be on the westside tonight...doubt thats happening. Oh and Fordman's name is Paul? What the heck Graveler always calls him Daddy..I don't get it!?

11:00 am news sez it might open by 1:00 or so? Even then, it will take hours for the backup to thin out......Think I'll head over about 7:00 tonight, good time of day to go from past experience.

Gotta deliver an old sled I'm selling to a Snow-wester in Wenatchee Wed and thne have the rest of the week to head over to Whistlin' Jack and hang out......

(The John Wayne Trail from Rattlesnake Lake is an idea......Dunno if I'm up for being 300 ft in the air on a railroad bridge where the snow is just a frozen, crested mound? Or riding thru the tunnel at the top????? Let us know how it goes!!!!! :) :) :)

I'm 1/4 mi from the John Wayne trailhead, 10in of new today
There's some good riding at exit 38 (area 90) :face-icon-small-coo

Penalty for riding on shoulder of I-90 while it's closed?

Anyone know if there is a fine for riding along the shoulder of a closed highway? Might want to ride up to Gold Creek from North Bend...

Huge fine.....The boundaries of any highway include the median, shoulder and all over as far as the state owns. Would be illegal to ride on any of that.....BUT, if you can get to exit 38, you can ride all the way to Alpental riding the forest service roads and old Highway from Denny Creek on up....You have to cross I-90 on overpasses a few times.

A friend of mine has a cabin at Denny creek. Once when the passed was closed, we unloaded at exit 47 and rode to the top of the pass.....Couldn't get to GC w/o riding the road that goes by the ski areas. Didn't seem like a good idea on a weekend......

tons more snow tonight :)

Tonight

Snow Showers...heavy At Times Especially Between Stevens And Snoqualmie Pass. Total Snow Accumulation 1 To 2 Feet. Snow Level 500 Feet. West Wind In The Passes 15 To 20 Mph.
