No limit straps on my skid. Should there be?

This is on a '08 Yamaha Nytro. My local shop installed an '07 XRS skid into my sled. So far it seems to perform quite a bit better than my stock skid, less sag, less bottoming out and it saved some weight too. We were looking over some things on my sled last night and realized that I don't have any limiter straps. Should I?

Yes. Unless they did something unique for the Yami install....couldn't imagine what it would be.

I don't think they did anything special. They said it pretty much bolted right up. What kind of negative impact would it have by not having these?

You risk shock damage by over extending, possibly spearing a track and I would think the adjustment would be necessary for setting up weight transfer, steering effort etc....
