This is a guy I know that tried to climb a hill that the snow plow made in the parking lot of a resturant. He flipped his sled and ended up getting his head stuck between the rear of the sled and track (03 Vert Escape) 240 stitches and 28 staples later he looks pretty good. Very lucky to be alive

... ouch.. he will feel that in the morning..

had a buddy do kinda the same thing to his scalpt last year.. be he did it loading a sled in a short enclosed trailer...

Head wounds like that bleed something horrible..

If you pull the rope, put the bucket on !!! More bad wrecks in sight of the parking lot (or garage) than anywhere else.

too many beverages?

He says no. I call BS it was in front of a tavern by his house. His head got lodged between the tunnel and track. He said today if he had a helmet on he would have broken his neck. I'll take my chances with the helmet.

That's what people say when they don't wear their seat belt and get ejected from a vehicle and thrown 150 ft. while the vehicle rolls several times. I'll take my chances with the proven safety devices(helmets and seat belts).

Ya for sure!!

Crazy!

I should wear my helmet when I load up the sleds but most times I don't.

Kind of like wearing a beacon :eek:

There was a photo floating around a couple of years ago showing what can happen to your nose when you load using a ramp and the ramp flips around and "removes" some of your skin. It was ugly. Ever since that.....I wear my helmet loading and unloading.
