No guages or headlight and not running. HELP

I was riding this weekend and went about 30 miles before I lost all my gauges and headlight. Then the spit and sputtered then died... It started back up ran for 5 seconds then died again. Kept doing it over and over again. Took it home and was told it was a volatge regulator.. Got a new and it still does the same thing. ECU still looks good. Any other ideas?

The exact same thing happend to me, no lights, gage would not work, run like it was on 1 cylinder then die, id wait a few minutes it would start again but with no gages or headlight. It was my regulator, mabey you got a faulty one? check your connections are nice and clean. gl

The D8 reg has a 2 stage output. The heavy wires power the lights and gauge and the 3 small wire power the ECU. Flashing gauge and or lights usually are an indicator the the reg is going out. In most cases when it does it damages the ECU. I would guess when yous went it damaged your ecu. See if you can borrow one from another sled to confirm.
