no electric start

im running a 2012 polaris switchback assault. I have electric start but for some reason is just stopped working...is there a fuse somewhere for it? when I turn the key it does absolutely nothing. I recently hooked up LED underglow, but its hooked up directly to the battery so shouldn't affect the starter at all, plus it was starting after I installed them. I took the sled out for a good 2hour ride and still nothing. I know the battery has power cause the lights(underglow) still turn on without the sled running. Anyone know if there is a fuse? Anything I should check?
THANKS!

There is a fuse located on the overstructure above the belt guard by the wiring harness bundle that's wrapped with the nylon-Velcro. It is inside a plastic enclosure. Not sure if this has anything to do with e-start or not. Hope this helps.

Connection

I was moving my cables after having the battery off and noticed a spade connection to the top of the little circuit breaker was off.

Maybe yours popped off too. With the zip ties it's hard to see and it's black besides.

Make sure wires are on both ends of the little breaker near the solenoid.

What is your battery voltage? (the LED's will work on lower voltage)

Have you tried to jump start it?

Are the cables tight on the starter/solenoid battery?

Is the connector fully seated on the back of the key switch?

Post up a pick of the battery/solenoid area.

My wife's 2012 600's e-start would NOT work this fall. The battery was 2 years old and measured 12.45 volts. I tried jump starting it, I tried charging it, nothing.

After driving myself crazy for two weeks I finally pulled the battery from my 2014 800 and put it on it. It fired right up.

Your battery is bad.

p.s. a battery can measure fine voltage wise but not have any amps so a voltage test doesn't always help you as I found out.

Any auto parts store can test the battery under load. (free)

What is the water level like on the battery?

Yep - gotta have the load test. I went and got mine tested at lunch (it was shot), upgraded the battery from stock Polaris to a Deka brand ETX14 AGM battery made by East Penn Manufacturing and dropped a few pounds in the process. ($85 plus tax - cheap weight loss comparatively!)

I wish I had had a scale available. I was surprised at the weight difference in the two batteries.
