Nissan's new Titan

They say 150,000 switch between a half and three quarter ton each year. They are after that market it seems.

One of the reasons so many are switching to 3/4 ton is the ability to deduct 100% in the purchase year. 1/2 tons are on a 3 year schedule.
I bet they will label this truck to fall into the HD category for that reason.

Yeah...has a nice power package, but I'm not a huge fan of the overall truck. Not to mention, it's a NISSAN :face-icon-small-sho

I think these heavy 1/2 tons with a smaller diesel fit the bill for alot of guys that want more torque and good mileage when pulling a sled trailer or boat but don't want the stiffer ride of a 3/4 or 1 ton. They should be popular if the price isn't sky high. :face-icon-small-dis

It seems a little crazy that Dodge didn't use this motor in their 1/2 ton. Maybe Toyota will follow up with a diesel soon and hopefully GM will pull their head out and use their 4.5 Duramax, too. I really like the Ford EcoBoost but there's nothing "Eco" about them when you hook onto something.
