I'm so glad he could take a minute and thirty seconds out of his busy day to inform all of us what was "really" going on with Ken Salzar and the Obama abomi...er....administration recending 77 oil and/or gas leases in Carbon, Deuschene, and Uintah counties ....

Nevermind the fact that these leases were processed, vetted (NEPA, etc), sold, and PAID FOR by companies forthright ...

Then as soon as Obama gets elected, his cronie Salzar and an activist judge decide "Oh well we can't do that" ...

So they recend the leases after they were approved and sold.

So the jackass that Sen. Bennet, R-UT was holding up as being appointed to the Deputy Secretary of the Interior shows up in vernal tonight, offers a complete bull**** excuse about why it happened, then got an earful from the people, who numbered at least several hundred), whose livlihoods are being abolished due to southern california liberals.

Yet another shining example of how southern California is now deciding public lands policy for the rest of us

The company I was working for was building a few rig pads outside vernal in Ouray when Obama was elected. I was building pads with 75 other employees of the same company down in Parachute CO. After the election, Marathon Oil and Gas turned and had to Lay us all off from BOTH sites due to the fact that they were getting "conflicted interests" and were being forced to halt all production or natural or raw components. Really sucked too, over 100 of us got canned 4 months after election time:mad:

It's rediculous ...

The actions of this administration, and previous liberal administrations, have been downright hostile to the domestic energy indsutry.

This recending the 77 bought-and-paid-for leases is a prime example of that.

The oil and gas companies can't afford to shell out millions, or even hundreds, or even tens of thousands of dollars for leases only to effectivley have the BLM and Department of the Interior turn right around and go "Oh well we need this money and you can't have this land" ...

It really does a lot to discourage investment ...

But then again they don't care, according to the 2009 Liberal's Fantasy Factbook tourism has a much greater effect on the economy in this part of the country than the energy industry does

wifes company laid down all but 3 of their rigs.
2 years ago they had 14 rigs going all out.

Is that the 2009 Liberal's Fantasy Factbook for Idiots???
A productive and efficiently drilled well will (in the long run) produce three times the capital out of one hole in the ground, than the entire tourism industry for that area will make in a year... They must have been reading the book upside down and backwards:rolleyes:

I seriously don't even know how those people can even begin to make that claim.

Seriously, I mean if they truly believe that they are living in a fantasy world the likes of which can only be induced by eating way too much peyote ....

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.......

Hopefully the good folks of Vernal gave him a proper send off!!!!
Did they give him an earful too!!!!

The oil&gas industry has pretty much come to a screching halt all over the region since Barry took over! Take a look a Grand Junction CO a year the industry was booming now it turn the lights out when you leave.here in New Mexico it been crushed by our greedy A-hole governer and the generally bad economy! I see a whole bunch of empty store fronts already! Its a scary time to be self employed !

Its bad everywhere..
The Mesa and Jonah fields in Wyo have been the Largest, massively drilled areas for the last 7 years. Over 100 rigs on either field at any given time and usually about 120+ during the summer months. These fields are located outside of Pinedale, and Big Piney, Wyo and both these towns are oilfield based. I took a drive up there a few weeks ago and Big Piney has turned into a ghost town. The primary man-camp area was deserted (which used to hold over 200 Housing Units) and full of tumbleweeds. Drove down 391 which is the highway between the two fields and not one rig was in sight. The road to the North Jonah had a gate on it which never existed before. Got to Pinedale and the booming 50,000 Person small town )which sprung up over night) was empty. Store fronts boarded up, motels empty, everything, gone. It was spookey. When this time last year I was up there driving from one end of town to the other just to find a parking spot so I could walk to the bar!!! this really isn't looking good guys..

and gas spot market price keeps goin down??

and gas spot market price keeps goin down??

??? hope I understood correctly but your referring to gas prices???
Around here it dropped to 1.90 gal unlead and now its climbed back to 2.30 gal unlead...

As far as the gas price per barrel its been up and down for years. Depending on how the offshore stuff goes and the rate the refineries set, the cost per barrel on these land rigs has been a descently stable market until the crash, not too sure what things are like now, since I quit drilling I haven't had too much access to this information
