newer 1000's have deto sensors now?

was looking on the Cat website and seen under their " leading horsepower" section that the picture of both the 800 and 1000 engines have deto sensors. i knew the 800 always had one but i see the 1000's must have them on too. good idea. must be getting it working for the 200 hp+ high octane factory 1000's for 2012! hahaha! we wish.

Good eye! I noticed this as well. In the brochure there are a couple pictures of the 1000 motor with the det sensor and also a couple without. I don't know of any news that this will be on the 2011.

I wonder why they didn't put it on the 1000 to begin with. It obviously could have saved them lots of warranty issues, and they had the technology?

is this the sensor on top of the head, in between the spark plugs?
