Hi, I am going to build my first sno bike. Rode mod sleds for a long time and want to try something different AND have something to ride the dunes in the summer. I'm thinking of a KTM 450 sx or xcf with a timbersled LT setup. I ride off trail, deep powder most of the time but also ride some wet snow here in Washington. What things should I consider on this build? What are "must have" extras? Is the LT the way to go or should I be leaning towards a ST? I'm also hearing the kits are sold out? I'm not going to be able to pull the trigger for about a month.

I would go LT personally I don't see a downside and find a dealership with them... I would put some money down to reserve one they go quick...

West coast snow = long track , get a 500 if you want it for dunes too
