an 07 m1000 with 300 miles - dangerous, most of them explode at around 310 miles requireing a new engine and entire drive train including track and sometimes a windshield... I have experience in this so sell it to me cheap really quick....

Good job that sled will ROCK.

My preferance is a different ski (i like powder pros)

others know the real kick butt setup for them for a few $.

and still other will flame you for not buying their brand, just blip the throttle as you pass em on a steep climb.

1) Check and recheck clutch alignment. If set right you should have no clutch issues. If set wrong you will eat belts about ever 150 miles and it will create a lot of heat. Side vents are a cheap and good investment for the M1000.

2) Make sure they replaced the retaining clip on the servo motor for the Power Valve. This was a recall so it should have been done if it has been to a dealer. Just make sure it has been done or in about another 300 miles you will loose a power valve cable.

3) Seal for the Diamond drive. It will start to leak usually around the input shaft and get clutch and belts layered with oil. This was also recall if you have a good dealer this all should be taken care of.

4) A silencer is a must. If you have stock exhaust you have to take it out to believe just how big it really is. A y-pipe is also very cheap gain for the M1000 and can be run without fuel controller.

5) Some guys have had issues with the primary clutches on the 07 M1000 4 tower clutches. I have 2300 miles on and have not had any issues. I make sure and inspect clutches often and remove clutch for inspection several times a year. The quality of material used for the 4 tower was very poor and even mine the material has pits and is of low quality, but I have not had any issues.

I hope this saves you any headaches and I don't want to scare you on this sled. The first three items should have been taken care of by the dealer or first owner. The Silencer and y-pipe are around $300 and well worth the money. The $25.00 for knee pads is also a must. I love my 07 M1000 and plan on buying an 08 or 09 hold over next year. These sleds are tork monsters and they have great amounts of power to be gained with just a little clutch work. You should love this sled.

thanks

Hey thanks for all the info. the guy already had a mbrp can on it and some simmsons skis. no matter what happens, it will be a big improvement over my old sled. i'll have the local dealer give it a once over thanks again:beer;

i have learned this the hard way , i own the exact same sled, flush the DD after every couple of rides, not exagerating either , every couple of rides!!! im on my second DD now!!

other then that the sled rocks!!
