Seeing oil in the airbox on a M8 2010......dripping down from reed intakes....does this mean possible cracked reeds????

From what I've read and experienced, oil in airbox is common. Especially after sled sits for months with a full tank of oil and has not been run.

I can't verify if it is normal coming from the reed area, or the volume you're talking about.

I know the first time I saw it scared me. After summer storage I tipped the sled on its right side to add DD oil and I had oil dripping all over my trailer and it wasn't DD oil.

Its not a lot so I continued to take the reeds out and to my surprise no gasket between reeds and block and that's where from the underside the dripping was coming from .....I assume there should be a gasket there as my previous cat had..
