Newbi experience, luvin it but looking for a bigger gas tank

Amazing is all i can say! Rode one for the first time and i'm hooked. I bought an 03 503f with all the updates but the only drawbacks i found were that the gas tank is TINY. well its not bad but i have to fill up when the rest of the sleds i rode with were half full still.

Has anyone upgraded to the 12 gallon tank and have an extra 9 gallon tank they would like to sell me? Or anyone know where i can get one for less then $200?

The other thing i found out is that it drinks oil. i went through a gallon of oil today mixing it 40:1 while i was learning all day. Even with those 2 small things i am in love. Its exactly what have been looking for.

mix 50-1 or 60-1 with a premium syn oil.

the 9gallon is only 225 or so...worth every penny

Im in EagleRiver-where in Wi are you? If you get close lets hook up and run our hawks this winter!

Yeah right!

The 9gallon is only 225 or so...worth every penny.

Not any more, last I heard about $400 + shipping, working a deal with a rider who needs the 12gal makes more sense/$.

503F should never need 12gal!

Alright i have another question with the hawk...
The guy that had it before me broke the safety tether before it goes through the metal bracket so i need to get a new one. They are pretty cheap but do i need the one that opens the circuit when pulled or closes the circuit when pulled? The one i'm looking at says it works with on a key ignition.

Sorry, I'm not the most mechanically inclined but I'm learning.

Remove it.

Unplug it from the harness, throw it away, and install a dirt bike style spring loaded kill switch in place of the thumb toggle, just splice in to the thump toggle's wiring before the plug.

This ain't no pig twoski/quad that will keep rolling under power!
