Good deals come but you need to move right then.
The right deal will come. .
Those older chassis Cats aren't too bad, I think the reason most of them are so cheap is that everyone would rather have the newer M-chassis sled. My buddy used to have an 03 King Kat 900, it was okay but the EFI was problematic. I rode it a little bit, didn't feel much different than my 03 800 Edge for power or handling. No real experience with the carb models. So I'm finding out. Missed out on another one. Scratch the 660/156" off the list.
Yup, the others just weren't right. It wasn't meant to be...that's what I keep telling myself anyway.
Why are Cats seemingly so cheap? Do I need to switch brands?

See some 900 Poo's in the mid-3k range too. Problem sleds?
*Sighs* Back to Craigslist.
many of them have marks from being poked with a 10 foot pole
800 is a good option, then you won't find yourself wanting to dump it in a few years because you wish you had bought an 8 to start with. Most of them have probably had the big bearing mod done in one form or another already, just make sure that the clutch is in good shape and get ready to hang on. I'm considering selling mine and upgrading, but I think it would be much more fun to keep it another few years and see if I can give my 2 Ski-Doo XP riding buddies a run for their money with my "old iron."Good one!
Heard from the guy with the 660/156" tonight. Sounds like it's going over the border. Guy offered full price sight-unseen but customs paperwork won't go through until next Thurs. Hope it's not a "cash the check and pay my agent for the shipping" scenario.
Waiting for word on 2 separate 700's and I've officially opened up my options to include some 800's. I've got more eyes/ears working for me too. Even hittin' up some friends down in the Boise area. They seem to have about a 3 to 1 ratio available compared to Spo/CDA. Price/condition will have to be worth the drive though. Ugh!
I sure hope so, it's sitting in the driveway right now. Let the obsession of a new hobby begin!Cheeto, the 700 will be a good first sled,
Dang, that's a good deal! Now where are those pics?I'll try to get some pics up tomorrow. Need to set up a Photobucket account...I've been living on Craigslist and Snowest for the past week.
Of course I drove to Montana to get a sled, come home and find this...

900 RMK... don't carry a real strong reputation. Lots of issues with those sleds. If you look closely at photos, many of them have marks from being poked with a 10 foot pole
Can you elaborate on this...just for future reference?Cheeto---If you want to go woth a 151 later, you can do it without rail extentions.

Shame on you Spokaloo peeps. I can't believe no-one has mentioned that he NEEDS to get a shovel, probe, and beacon. AND a the knowledge on how to use them.
OK--sounds like a good ride you got. Just ride it, learn, and you'll have loads of fun.
