New Website

Ya , like that works. Three days after the reveal and their site is still locked up. This day and age and all the technology we have and their website can't handle the traffic and/ or they didn't work out the bugs before the release??? Obviously their marketing department runs their website too.

Just got on it and it worked. Wow. Don't really show differences. I assume board bracing, which doesn't show, and coil over vs. Float shocks is the difference. I haven't had issues with my boards I guess. I guess I'll have to look at the 600 at the dealership to see the difference in seat and tank. 10.4 gallon tank sucks but so does pulling the rope.

Terrible website, still doesn't work proper. You used to be able to download the accessories/apparel catalog and either they don't have a new one this year or its not online. And they took away access to all the past models. Don't even mention the rebate programs on 2019s.

They definitely need to have access to the 2019’s to assist dealers with moving that inventory, maybe even back further than that. If you are totally new, without any background on this situation, and want to check out Arctic Cat, their lineup is poor. Now I understand why they are doing this, but you need to help dealers move some of that old inventory too, with a more robust website to support them.

So only 3 sleds in the Mtn line up? All with the Alpha rail, just different shock packages...

Am I to understand that these are all spring check only as well? If that is the case I expect Cat sales to tank. I am not and, never will be, a premium price paying snow check enthusiast.

So Cat finally gets themselves out of a funk, delivering great new products and now they are going to back off and limit sales? I am confused...

My dealer is sold out of 17,18 and 19 sleds, just a few 16s left that for whatever reason were not subject to the same rebates as the newer machines. They didn't need any help from Cat, mother nature happened to cooperate this season...

I think the site looks good compared to previous years. I think it was a very smart move offering fewer models (like alot less) and doing snowcheck only. I would think it will work wonders for their bottom line. Very curious to see what the pricing looks like. Hoping the base Alpha can be had for around 12k... I would probably be in on one.

They have done such a good job the last 2 years of not overbuild and ruining their new/used market. Not sure why they changed that. Polaris and Doo both did that way heavy in the 2018 season and then flooded the market with super rebated in season models and it really hurt their used market which is not great for keeping guys stoked to snowcheck the latest and greatest.

Snocheck only is a short term bottom line booster but I see it hurting market share quickly. I have all 3 Dealers in half a mile radius and am in all of them often. What I can assure you is that they move a LOT of in season models. Snowmobilers just don't have that kind of forethought to convert your whole mtn line to snow check only.

Also, thanks dealers for building nice showrooms to house all those sleds you wont have to stock anymore.... Means that dealers are now just glorified parts stores.

Things are different here I guess- Country Cat and a couple other dealers have ruined both new and used Cat values. And people really dont buy floor models, and if they do they are 2-4 years old and on the cheap.

As I said in another thread before the release I think offering snowcheck only with the exception of one super basic model of each line of sleds (trail, crossover, mountain) would make the most sense.

I definately get that, those guys are wrecking things.

In our region (MT/ID/WY) Dealers are all dang near an hour apart if not farther. So local sales are a thing, driving for deals just doesn't make that much sense.

I think your right, if there was some sort of basic in season model then it makes sense but to go full snocheck only your sales season is now a month long at the end of the season....

I am the perfect example of why this sucks. Last year my sled was broken down and waiting on backordered parts for warranty ( 2 months down time). In the mean time I bought another sled so as not to miss a huge portion of the season. Bam, 11k in lost sales or I'd go buy a sled from another brand if my brand was snowcheck only.

Pretty sure the 2019 alpha was advertised as a snowcheck model only last spring. And amazingly enough in the fall dealers could bring more in. I’m sure the same thing will happen with the 2020s. Only reason to snowcheck will be for extra warranty. I think the directions texton is going by only building models that sale is very wise. I’m confident they aren’t going anywhere and will be throwing out a new chasie for 2021.
