So i put a new dual ring piston in and up in the deep it was running really weird I would run fine for a little and then it would almost stop running and bog out really bad. So I would stop clear all the snow off my hood and she would run great for another 100 yrds then do it again "repeat" then I got stuck no snow on the hood so I tried to pin it and shake it out it started to pop up on top then bogged out really bad again just brrrrrrrrrr and it was as if the track wasnt moving. Also riding the trails I noticed a brrrrrrrppprrrrrrrrrppprrrrr. Almost like a back fire but I wasn't sure if I was just being paranoid.

Any input on this would be awesome guys!

WHAT YEAR SLED AGAIN AND WHAT SIZE....IS THIS THE ONE YOU TOOK THE DPM OFF OF??

This is my 02 700 and the dpm the more i read was optional this year so not sure if it was removed or if it never had it as well as the round side carbs they where also an option for this model and year. Even when I get this up and to 8k it only peaks there for a few seconds then drops to around 7300? I only got it to do that at 8365 feet at 10k i was luck to be at 7300.

What does your plugs/piston wash look like? How many miles are on the top-end now? What was your break-in? Did you do anything else to the sled mechanically wise while you were rebuilding it?(re-gear, clutch, port?)

Pistons, Plugs look good. Didn't change a thing wondering if my track tension is too tight it seems to load up when i start trenching?

I thought that all 02 600/700/800 had flat slide carbs. If fact most 01 600/700/800 were flat slide carbs. I think that you have 2000 carbs in your sled maybe someone did a chassis swap from a 2000 to a 02 ( my .02). Anyways have you checked yor clutches? What are your clickers set at ? Maybe bad clutch parts?

It came with the option dpm w/ flat side or none dpm with round side both where an option on the 01-03 (per the race manual)

think that was called the summit adrenalin or something...it was a summit but minus all the dpm etc for gearheads that did all their own tweeking.did you modify your clutching or anything after your rebuild?did you have a good look in the bottom end?could ya have a seal/bearing buggered up :face-icon-small-sad.if it's set up like my 2000 check the 2 big plugs above the air box...snow would melt into the back side of them and short the ignition (kill switch?-dunno).then it would run like a bag of crap till it dried out.squirt some dielectric grease or petroleum jelly (good ol' vaseline) in 'em maybe this might help fix the problem

after allot of emails and phone calls got that my jetting was waaayyy of got it jeted set the clickers out to 6 and she ripped today no problems too bad it was my last ride of the season thanks to everyone who helped me get this machine dialed this year!

My 2 cents

I noticed that the plug picture resembles a br9ecs by the taper. If you have the 700 you may want to run the br9es. My 700 renegade hates the ecs plugs and it rips, I am here to tell ya. It runs circles around my 800 summit even after the dual ring piston kit.
