new to the m's

hey guys just sold my 05 900 rmk and bought a 06 m7 that is stock except for a can what are some good mods for these m7's and how about thing to look for in fixin things before it breaks

Mods-
-orange/white primary spring
-orange secondary spring with shift assist bearing
-snow eliminators for the running boards
-HRP or AMP skid front arm relocation bracket
-aftermarket hand warmers-stock ones suck
-frogskin vents-gets rid of all the screens and pesky metal clips
-skid plate
-most of the cans loose power

Maintenence-
-pull the front a arms and install Cats lightweight bushing kit for $50 and replace the plastic bushings that wear out.
-pull the diamond drive, split it, clean, check bearings, refill 3oz fluid.
-check the primary clutch for worn wieghts, if it is the roller is too.

clutching is a must i ride 6000-9000 feet on an 06 m7 stock with a 162. i run the stock primary yellow white spring with 68 gram weights, secondary is stock with the team conversion wth there black and white spring and it rips. most guys will say to run that orange spring but i thought it was holding the machine back too much and caused me to blow belts but thats just my opinion, there are so many different set ups that work so mess around and find one that works for your style. i think clutching is the best thing tou can do to them besides the rkt head mod.

Replace the throttle cable every 2500 miles, it sucks when they break. Other then that, just ride it. Had really good results with just an slp can on mine, never messed with the clutching other then keeping both really clean. Venting cant hurt either. Always pulled 7900-8000 rpm at 6-8000 ft. Sold it at 8k miles, had a lot of life left...
