New to snowmobiling, lookin for places to go.

Hi All,

Wondering if you can help me with a good place to go for the first time. I just picked up a new to me, 2009 Yamaha Venture RS GT. This is a trail sled so not looking for deep snow. I live in Gig Harbor and looking for places as close by as possible.

Also, what sno-park is open now?

Greenwater-east out of Puyallup on 410. Good place to get a feel for the sport along with some trails, some challenges and some maybe next times.

just let everyone know tis still hunting season and the fs rds are tech not open to sleds yet I think its printed that sno park permits begin in December ranger can give tickets. was told that in person about 4 yrs ago.. just a thought..

I have a car trailer now that I have the sled on. Is it easy parking at Greenwater?

I live in Gig Harbor as well, and would have to agree that Greenwater or Stampede would be some of the best trail riding, and its also relatively close for both.
