Hi Guys:
I haven't been on the forum for a couple years, m1000 has been alot of fun but I am planning to get a nytro 180hp with 162 track. Searching in the forum I am going cross eyed.

  • Where in AB to get the best turn key sled with out getting kicked over the fence, or is this a diy install?
  • What are the main things to be aware of as new turbo guy?
  • I know I have lots of reading to do but some help to start appreciated.
  • Ps what does a 162 turbo nytro weigh?

Thanks

My 2010 Nytro 162 with a Powderlites turbo installed weighed 605 pounds with a little fuel in the tank. Not a lightweight but way lighter then the over 700 pounds a stock apex with a turbo would way. This is with 100% stock components, no light weight stuff.

Hey thanks for the reply, I spent about 6 hours today reading on this forum, I think I have more questions now that before, lol. I am thinking 180 mcx, timbersled front end who knows what else. Still 50/50 though I might just buy another m1000 180+hp granted not at elevation but also lighter and cheaper to fix if I break it. I wish I had the moola for both.

The only kind of breaking I would be worried about is you hitting something.:) The most trouble free sled I've ever owned by far so why would it be more expensive to fix? A lot of people complain about the weight, but they are very well balanced and ride with a light feel to them( with the exception of hard pack snow or trail conditions). Pick the Nytro you'll be pleased it.

Get the 180 mcx. I had a 07 m1000 with lots of mods,I am very happy with the 2010 nytro with the 180mcx. Its a little heavier in the nose, but thats it. More power, better quality, great ride, no belts or two stroke oil, 180 at every elevation, no clutching, consistant performance, etc. I would highly recommend Scanalta Power Sales in Hines Creek. SMART GUY

I recently came from the dark side myself, I had an 08 m1000 sno pro moded out to 200 hp and just bought an impulse nytro, do it and never look back... the turbo four strok is amazing.

Nice to hear from a couple M1000 riders, What kind of track speed do you see in powder with the 180 kit?

Do you guys regret not going to the 240, it's 2500 more but hey 60hp....

Also how did you find the winder ski stance?

It's hard to watch the speedo when your ridin one of these rockets but the few times I watched it specifically off lauch it was 0-90 in less than 3 sec then I had to watch where I was going and back it off.

Mine is an impulse nytro with 162x15x2.5
