New to me sled!!

Well I finally joined you guys, Bought a 2008 40th anniversary edition apex, came with cover, a pivot riser (moves back and forth) lefty throttle, 2 windshields and windshield bag. Has about 800 km on it. I have ridden it before, and rode an apex a bit last year, loved it.

Thanks, what are some must do's (no turbo, way to much for me) he has put the shim under the back of the ski and that is suppose to help with the darting, also put in a stiffer spring on the front shock in the suspension. Anything else I should look at? I am at about 2-3000 ft.

Ya might have to look at clutching being that's all the higher ya ride. maybe look at an aftermarket exhaust lose some weight there and sounds great. also depending on how tall you are bar riser would be a nice addition if the pivot riser you have didn't add height.

The riser is a tad bit higher than stock I think, and at stock I was fine with it (I am about 5'9") whats an aftermarket exhaust worth cdn?? ANd whats the skid worth approx?

if no trubo why not supercharge! good job on getting an apex, dont fall for the nytro. i would say get a seat. exhaust. a arms. fox floats. hood. and maby throw some NOS at it if you want power.

your probably looking 400 to 600 for a new exhaust but used ones can be had for about half of that if ya keep a watchful eye. the timber sled suspension runs about 1500 us. One other thing if ya decide to look at aftermarket seats mountain mod is at the top of the list.

This sled came stock with the fox floats, aftermarket exhaust sounds interesting though, maybe keep my eyes open for something, what sounds good, not loud just good.

Here are some videos of various exhausts. everyone's opinion varies to what sounds best or loudest. I have a white knuckle exhaust i would consider it obnoxiously loud but it sounds good
