Just moved out here from Maine. Ended up landing myself in the springs. Anyone ever come through the springs to head across 24 to ride and ever have any spare space on the trailer or deck and want to split fuel and ill buy drinks/food.

I'm in Monument, basically north Springs.
We usually ride either Wolf Creek (4 hr drive) or Rabbit Ears (3 hr drive).
What do you ride now and have you ridden mountain terrain before?

If you're in the Springs we have a snowmobile club. Pikes Peak Highriders. Meet once month at Savelli's pizza in Manitou Springs. 2nd tues of the month at 6 pm. Check out web site. Club helps support the Colorado Snowmobile Assn which helps right to ride. CSA web site has all the clubs listed with their trail map.

Ride a pretty much stock ( other than a mountaintech skid plate, and skinz exhaust ) 2012 Nytro MTX 153. Rode deep powder in 2012 on my Rev 800 ptek short track and was hooked from there. Went 2 seasons lacking some serious snow and riding a mix of machines ( 2012 snopro, 2004 ProX/IQR frankensled, rev triple swap ) and I finally manned up ( and put myself in mild debt ) to pick up my first mountain sled.
Why a Yamaha? I've pulled apart the motor on pretty much every 2 stroke I've ever owned. Sleds break constantly, engines and engine parts arent cheap anymore.
Riding late season snow took a toll on my rails, so thats what I'm down for the count for right now. Dont mind the stitched up seat, a tree got the best of that when the sled found a drop without me on it.
