have new 09 m8 twisted extreme kit, with fresh air, used to Egt;s what are your afr numbers on the sled, i have a 2871 garrett, attitude box is set at green 2, yellow 2, red off, blue green ran best at 7, at 5000-8000 feet, red blue is 7.5, Stainger told me that 7 on blue green is too high, it should be about 4.5 at that altitude, any additional input or data will be greatly appreciated, thank u in advance

also running 8.5-9 lbs of boost on 100LL

You can run at 12.2, but if you can keep the sled cleaned out and get it running at 11.8 to 12 it is safer. I can usually run mine at around 11.6 to 11.8 and it rips bottom to top. 12.2 it will run better but most of the time I can go up anything where I am set at.

12.2 wide open as long as it is clean, 13.9 midrange don't let it spike when you back out of it above 14.9. adjust accordingly.

One more thing

There are a lot of guys that are not used to the afr guage. When you are looking for your reading you have to be wfo for a couple of seconds for the guage to level out and get the reading your looking for so tune it in an open area. I start out with all of my numbers off except for boost fuel I set it at say 7 where I know it is going to be rich. Start off with short bursts to make sure it isn't lean then take numbers away holding it open for longer periods of time til you have it where want it. Then tune the other numbers from looking at the lights that are on when your having your issues. Hope this makes sense it works for me.

Red/blue is the RPM switch point and it is set at 7.5 and you are not giving it any fuel in the Red...Seems like you need some fuel at the full throttle position. Maybe that's why the blue/green was set so high. I would think it should have a really lean spot before you hit the 7500ish rpms and no added fuel in the Red, then the blue/green fuel is going to kick in and throw a ton of fuel at it. What #'s did Shane tell you to start with?

Shain said red is off for sure

set green to 1-2, yellow 1-2, red off, red-blue at 7.5 and then adjust green-blue according to the AFr gauge for whatever altitude you are at , also to turn off and restart your sled as your altitude decreases coming off the mtn, pulling a hill it was at 12.2 WOT

I ran mine between 12.2 and 12.8, seemed like it really like the 12.4-6 range, saw 13.1-3 more than once on some less than 10 sec pulls. Never hurt anything (Hatchers on here said the same thing) I say keep it between 12.2-12.6 and it should be good unless you are going to make over a 15sec pull then keep it closer to the 12.2. Mine wouldn't hardly run under 12.0.
Setting
G 2-3
Y 1.5 (never liked anything other than that)
R .5 off
G/B depends on the boost, F/P and A/F reading
R/B never used it

The R/B is a fine tune on top, the Red adds the fuel and the R/B you set where you want it to start adding fuel, and it goes off of load. so if you set the red at 1 and the R/B at 7.5 Once it hits 7.5 worth of a load then it adds the 1 red. the box is also programmed different, when programming they set the numbers to distibute a curtain percentage of fuel and the red on these is a simple fine tune and for the top end range. Think of it as
G, low
y, mid
R, Hi
G/B boost
R/B load settting red is turned on
But since the boost kicks in in the high you don't really need it unless you want to fine tune.

any normal numbers for 1/3, 1/2, throttle and idel

Shain said 13.5-14.5 at 1/3 throttle how about half throttle, 8.5-9.0 psi on boost , 100ll , fuel pressure 40-41 psi

I think that 1/2 throttle at almost full boost is a problem area for a lot of sleds. I feel that a good tps based boost controller like boondockers ebc may help this area by not allowing so much boost at lower throttle settings.

I sure hope it works, but after everything BD puts out needing an update I'm not so sure I want to be the first.

G/b is 4, red is 1.5, fuel pressure is 42 at idle on a 2871 with 50/50 112 and pump gas. Mine seems to run best at 12.2ish. If I go higher on the g/b sled starts to stumble.

To keep my afr # around 12.2 My gb numbers are usually 5-6 depending on boost. I run 100ll as well. Are you running headlights?

av8er, I will post my numbers tomorrow. I run the exact same kit, and the exact same sled. I run a little higher elevation, but that will only be a 1/2
to 1 point on fuel. and absolutely for sure the red is off, which is .5

I can tell you for sure that your G/B is too high. What is your A/F reading at wide open throttle?

I am a thousand miles from my sled at the present moment.

Agree 100%, this is why I would like to give him the numbers tomorrow.
And some tuning advise. Believe me I am not trying to be an ***.

Av8er, just hold out one more day, and you will be up and running flawless.

red

you do not need red unless your sled is getting lean(hot) in that area. Mostly on the trail. Everybody's numbers will be different dependent on conditions and boost. If you run higher boost your boost fuel will go down if you run lower boost your boost fuel will go up it is all a reference to your fuel pressure
