new timbersled website sucks

need to order new spindle spacers for my cr500 and seems like that is not possible on the new site. and all around it seems terrible to navigate.

anybody got info on how to order replacement parts?

You have to order from a dealer now I agree the website sucks... It is A Polaris site

I am betting if you are far from a dealer you can call a place like first place parts and order online

Sucks for sure

You can order if you call Timbersled but they really want you to use a dealer. That warm and fuzzy feeling is going bye bye.

I think the next thing we can all expect is that TS will be sold through Polaris dealers only which will give their dealers a cut of the action and likely cost us all more $$$$. So we can look forward to dealing with some pimple faced kid working for minimum wage at the local parts counter who has never seen or ridden a snowbike when you go to order parts. Are there even any TS garage dealers left now or are they all gone?

Progress gotta love it, NOT

Now I think it is going in a good direction to get snowbiking to the masses I just think we got used to something better than the dealer model... But now they are bought out the easy way is to latch on to the current dealer market and focuses more on development than customer care (dealers handle)... At least I hope so.. You can see the financing option now.. I hope they get easier to insure also

Garage dealer here. Been here since the very first timbersled prototype. Happy to answer questions and ship parts if needed. :face-icon-small-coo

The dealerships have already been approached with the line up . The investment and requirements are much higher than what the garage guy has or had .

I don't know if this matters but what the dealerships do not understand is this attachment does not make the machine a turn key .

Honest question , would anyone here not sell out if the offer was on the table ?

Don't get me wrong if it were me I'd sell in a heartbeat, thing is when they blow smoke up your a$$ after the sale and talk about how nothing will change we all guessed it wouldn't be so. Basically all I ask is don't lie to me about it, just come out and say here's the new business model. Quite often bigger isn't always better. Hopefully Polaris takes note, they could really mess things up for TS if they aren't careful. As was pointed out this isn't a buy it go product guys need easy access to info and specs.

Speaking of this topic it would be nice to know some specs on fit kit pieces. Ordered the 2003 crf450 fit kit, but have a cr500 in there.
Most everything should be the same, minus the silicone piece for carb. And then 1-2 out of the four swing arm bushings. My carb also points dangerously close to where the strut will be, struggling to make my air boot work, but I'll have that done shortly.

It would be nice to know dimensions, so I could see if they already have the size I need available and order it. At this point likely will just fab one of them. I also tried to get info on the diameter of end of the intake to order a paper filter, but no info there.

Also called TS a week ago and left a voicemail without return call. But I was able to talk to Brett, they offer to help, but I know they are busy churning out fit kits. Mine actually has been shipped, so at least I can pick it up this weekend and start getting things sorted.

As a dealer we are VERY happy to see things going to dealer direct only.

Before there was absolutely NO incentive to stock parts since guys could just hop online and have them to their door in 2 days. Now that you cannot get parts direct we are stocking a large array of replacement parts and accessories. This is part of growing up and getting larger, really nothing particular to Timbersled. This is how you grow a dealer network which is FAR more important then supporting sales directly. There are always growing pains, but it is the natural growth pattern.

This pushes sales through local dealerships. We are a completely aftermarket shop and have been a TS dealer since the beginning. This dealer direct only gives companies a major leg up over late signed on Polaris dealerships. We know snowbikes and have been riding them for years, we know what you need to do besides just bolting the kit up. We may not have the advantage of floor traffic of the larger OEM Polaris dealers, but we have something they can't buy. Experience.

You cannot have a corporate company competing with dealers, it is not even close to fair and is how you ruin dealer relations and hurt your company in the long haul.

Can you send a PM to me of the pieces that you want dimensions of? I'll do my best to get them for you.

I ordered two TSS kits and a TS bolt upgrade from IceAge and had them at my door in less than 5 days and got a great price. Timbersled would never give me deals when I ordered direct. I was bummed at first that TS was no longer shipping direct but I quickly learned I am better off. Now I can support two companies working to improve this sport and I get parts cheaper. Win Win.
