A new study shows that wireless technologies, in particular cell phones and wireless internet are potentially more of a threat to the climate than vehicle emissions!
Dr. Alexander Wiess,Phd, has discovered that when a wireless device is used it emits a low level (about .0001 micro joules) of gamma 162 radiation. While it has been proven that this does not harm the user directly, Wiess has found a problem on a much larger scale.
Records indicate that an average of 191 billion cellular calls are made each day. When all those tiny amounts of gamma 162 are added together they have enough energy to heat the atmosphere by 1.12 degrees centigrade! In addition to this direct warming there is also the collateral effect of making the air less dense, allowing the sun's radiation an easier path to the Earth's surface. This will cause the surface of the Earth to heat up, which combined with the heating of the atmosphere could have a catastrophic effect on life as we know it.
Dr. Wiess, along with others in the field of atmospheric science, are planning a presentation to the white house and Al Gore in order to enact an immediate ban on wireless devices.
While Wiess admits it will be difficult and painful to take such a huge step backward, he insists it is imperative for the very survival of mankind.
