New Sled Break in Timing

Guy's I remember on my 2000 ZR600 that it needed to have around 6 hours run time or 200kms before it would get full timing.
On these new sleds, specifically 2010 M8 does the ECU do the same thing?
Do you get full timing right off the bat or do we need some runtime?

to break them in I was advised by a cat dealer to
-put the sled on a track stand
-vary throttle from idle to a max of 6500 RPM until heat light comes on and stays on (not flashing) for 1 to 2 minutes,
-Wait 45min. then repeat the procedure.

Don't forget to water down your slides.

It's nerve racking pressing the flipper when the heat light has been flashing for 2 minutes, then when it stays solid you gotta press it for another 2!

I have never heard of that style of break in proceedure. Sounds kinda scary! We just mixed out fuel 100:1 for the first tank and rode with varying throttle position for the first tank, no extended WOT.

Any RPM gain after breakin premix tank?

Anybody pick up any rpm after the first premix tank? I'm about 200 shy of where I want to be. I'm hoping because I was running super rich it might not get full rpm:confused:

Mine was pretty shy on RPM for the first ride too. Second tank of fuel it came up about 150 but there was still some oil in the tank. I have 105mi on it now and it's getting better all the time.

Good, that's what I was hoping. Thanx:beer;
